On my high school yearbook page, I had a photo of me as a little girl standing in front of a tree. Next to it was a photo of me as a high school senior standing next to a fallen-down tree. Somewhere, either above or below, I cannot remember, were some lyrics from the ever so deep and meaningful Bob Dylan song that goes a little something like, “You’d better start swimming or you’ll sink like a stone.. Oh, the times they are a changin’.”

Yes, I understood the power of symbolism then just as I do now. Subtext and the like have always been important to me.

The times are always changing, Bob, and I’ve updated some things, like this and that.
